another fabulous weekend full of photos!

took a bunch of polaroids at jeremy's party on saturday...everyone seemed to dig the instant pics :) it was a lot of fun and i got to catch up with quite a few people from school. (i uploaded most of the pics on facebook.)

*my friends tony and jon

on sunday i met up with my friend kristine for another fabulous photo adventure! we bundled up and braved the cold out at busse woods with 12 purple balloons and several cameras ;) it was FREEZING but i had so much fun with her! and we got some amazing pics out of it, so it was more than worth it. we agreed that our next photo adventure would be in warmer weather tho ;)

i had a hard time picking pictures to put in this post because i loved them ALL. hahaha, but here are a few. the rest of the "purple snow balloons" series can be found on my flickr here
this one is from my fuji instax camera. i was freaking out when we started taking pics with this one because it looked like the film wasn't going to develop :( but it ended up just being a slow process because it was so cold out. i attempted to speed up the process by sticking the picture right by my car heater. lol, thus the "defects" in this shot. but i kinda like it :) looks interesting

some of my other favorites from my lomo cameras :) the colors came out so vibrant! and kristine made an excellent moving/jumping/dancing subject :)

by kristine reyes from her "Purple Tundra" series...her pics are amazing! can't wait to see her holga ones :)

so yea, good photo weekend for SURE! now on to making log pillows for peeps ;)

PRESIDENT Obama!

"...to those leaders around the globe who seek to sow conflict, or blame their society's ills on the west - know that your people will judge you on what you can build, not what you can destroy. to those who cling to power through corruption and deceit and the silencing of disset, know that you are on the wrong side of history; but that we will extend a hand if you are willing to unclench you fist."     -President Barack Obama

"for what it's worth...

it's never too late or, in my case, too early to be whoever you want to be. there's no time limit, stop whenever you want. you can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing. we can make the best or the worst of it. i hope you make the best of it. and i hope you see things that startle you. i hope you feel things you never felt before. i hope you meet people with a different point of view. i hope you live a life you're proud of. if you find that you're not, i hope you have the strength to start all over again."   - benjamin button

this guy is amazing!

i love when i *rediscover* bill ricchini's cd "tonight i burn brightly". i seem to listen to it for a for a few weeks, then turn to something else for a while, and when i go back to it, i can't believe i ever put it away :)  it is awesome, and always puts me in a good mood :)

this is me, obamafied! hahaha, saw a tweet from my friend kristine about this obamaicon.me

i miss summer...

instax fun :)

hanging out last night for my sister's 22nd birthday :)

movie reviews

saw this over the holidays with the family and thought it was amazing! it tells the story of a kid from the slums of mumbai in an incredible way. go check it out, you won't be disappointed.

saw this just last week with some of the C22 crew. it's a great movie, surprisingly funny and heartfelt at times, and clint eastwood is such a badass! gotta check this one out too.

life is...

"life is pretty much in the grays for the most part and if you insist always on black and white...you are going to be very unhappy." -anna, the last kiss

new log pillow!

finished the middle one last night :) i love making these, they are fun and easy (for the most part). time for a new craft tho, what shall it be? hmmmm...

one benefit of being sick...

is that i can catch up on my netflix. just watched "the life before her eyes" and i really liked it. the cinematography was so beautiful and the story was interesting. i recommend checking it out :)

hello 2009 :)

2008 had it's share of ups and downs for me, and more than usual in a regular year, so i'm hopeful for 2009. and i really do plan on sticking to my resolutions this year :) so it should be a good one.

christmas was great this year, pretty low key. i was able to take some time off and hang out with the family a lot, so that was nice. i think we set a record for dinners out this year, in the span of 2 weeks. lol, guess no one really felt like cooking ;)

i got my fuji instax 200! its awesome, i love it!

i have quite the camera collection now :) and still planning on adding a few more. it's kinda dangerous.
